Fashions Cuffed pants and midriffs set the trend for ' 73- ' 74 Below Right: Another fashion craze for guys and gals both, were the midriffs or baseball shirts. Below: Rising in popularity throughout the school year was the Black style for hair, Cornrows. Below Left: The Varsity Football Team began practice in early August, for the first game of the sea¬ son, Jamboree. Far Right: Patriettes Ene Ruusma and Jenny Bocock run through a practice drill. Right: Marc Bladoe, Mar¬ shall ' s Drum Major, leads the band in a practice drill. Above: Smiling ear to ear about the popularity of bowties is Zoology teacher, Mr. Randy Lamb. Bowties were worn both as formal and casual wear. Fashions this year were anything you wanted them to be. Anywhere from bowties and midriffs for guys to trousers for gals. Cornrows were also a hit. Blue jeans seemed to take the scene touched up with a flannel shirt. Cuffed pants for guys and gals appeared to be popular. Patriettes and Majorettes start practice early in August by practic¬ ing drills and formations that were performed with the Marching Band which started practice later in the month. The Varsity Football Squad started their practice early in August. They practiced many long hours to perfect plays for the first game of the season. The cheerlead¬ ers also began their practice in August with many long and tire¬ some hours of work to perfect cheers. Another activity was summer classes, which ran Monday thru Fri¬ day. —Ene Ruusma

Convicts portray perfect gents in all-school play “My Three Angels” by Sam and Bella Spewack was the title of this year ' s all-school play. “My Three Angels” is a story about a young couple in love and three convicts who work for them. Besides stealing for them, they also cooked and kept house. They acted like “perfect” gentlemen, though two of them were murderers and one, a thief. The scene was set in the family Ducotel’s living room in back of a general store in French Guiana. Directors of the play were Mr. Jerry Hurst and Laurei Ziesmer and Beth Ely. Mr. Paul Justice and sen¬ ior Bob Shinkle directed the stage crew. —Ene Ruusma 18 i
