Q Assisting students Brad Miller and Tarnie Shank during their l.C.T. pro- gramming class is Mr. Paul Hayes. l.C.T. places students in various iobs around the city where they receive firsthand experience. He finds being able to work during the school day a very profitable experience. Besides the experience received he also begins to realize the responsibilities of a working man. RIGHT-Practicing her bedside manners on co-student Kathy Miller is senior, Vickie Bowers. Both girls are training as nurses aids at Community Hospital. Through nursing they learn to help others and begin to realize the necessity of good nurses and how they benefit the sick. D. E. takes Homecoming float winner A hayride and a winning float were among the many activities ot the Distributive Education class. D.E. is sponsored by Mr. Kenneth Stanley, who taught for the first time here at Marshall. The idea of keeping a young per- son in school and keeping him from terminating his education is an im- portant factor of D.E. The Deca Club is another outlet of the D.E. program which teaches students important business practices. The Industrial Cooperative Training Program is directed by Mr. Paul Hayes and otters students informa- tion related to iob training. I . .1
