Everybody needs a little time away . . . from each other, sang Chicago in their hit single Hard to Say I'm Sorry. Although only a song, the message of privacy and solitude it carried was o pertinent one. Students needed to get away from their hectic school schedules. At home, some used their bedroom to get away from it all. 'ljust go to my room, lay down on my bed, and listen to my radio when I want to be oIone, sophomore Danny Johnson revealed. I usually go in my room, explained senior Dianna Johnson, because I don't have the money to go anywhere else. While some preferred the close, comfortable security of their bedroom, others liked to spend time outside away from daily pres- sures. I go outside and go running, confided junior Liz Currie, or take the soccer boll and kick it around. Wayne Anderson, freshman, liked to get further away than his feet would carry him. Whenever I get the chance, I like to go to the beach or skiing by myself. Senior Jeff Davis took to wheels in order to get away from it all. When I want to think out my problems, Ijust go off on my motorcycIe, he divulged. Just walking was a good way for some to unwind and think things out. I like to take long nature walks in Lents Pork, confessedjunior Tracy Hazelet, No one bugs me and I con do what I want to. Senior Sam Bernal also liked to go'out walking. Solitude could also be experienced when other people were around I like to draw and read, admitted sophomore Shelley Cantwell.
