Jung wos on involved student ond bee couse of her high GPA wos selected for the ocodemic top 10, The donce wos put on by Executive Cobi- net to roise money. lt wos o pretty big donce, ond the lost one of the yeor, so o lot of people went, commented sophomore Sombro Forrest. Another highlight of the week wos the Fridoy ossembly, The red corpet wos rolled our for the ossembly ond the spotlight shone on the smiling members of the court os they 11, 1 x ll Af' I X I ls 1963 MAY FETE COURT Seniors Crystol Hoffmon, Jung Lee, juniors Kim Coppo, Denice Nelson, sophomores Michelle Hermon, Tino Nigo, freshmen Kelly Stone- berg ond Wendy Talbot. APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FETE FLOWERS The toin thot Oregon received Oo W Moy Fete took their troditionol wolk ocross the gym floor. First to poss were freshmen Wendy Tol- bot ond Kelly Stoneberg. Next come sopho- mores Tino Nigo ond Michelle Hermon. Then juniors Kim Coppo ond Denice Nelson, fol- lowed by seniors Crystol Hoffmon ond Jung Lee, with oll drowing 0 well deserved op- plouse. As the court took their ploce on the plot- form the gym lights come up ond everyone wos soon to heor the beot of Moneoter performed by Musicol Bruce ond the Pink Fruit Brothers, Seniors Kevin Kendrick, Jeff Winter, Gory Moh, Terry Poresi ond Mike Bonoduce creoted ond become this five mon bond. Seniors woltzed off with the spirit ribbon os they swept most of the Moy Fete octivi- ties. Moy 2 stotted them off by winning the t-shirt dress up doy ond the egg drop octiv- ity. Other events werejock doy ond humon pyromid, think pink doy, ond on obstocle course, closs color doy ond dress nice doy. Lock of porticipotion wos evident when only o few chose to follow the dress up doys ond join in the octivities. Those of us who did porticipote hod o fun time ond on enjoyoble week, concluded sophomore Jeonette Densmore. Q' 5 oll winter brought on oll the flowers thot students enjoyed in the courtyord. THINK PINK The 1983 vorsity rolly onticipotes the breokthrough of the sign by the Pink Fruit Brothers. The group performed to the song Moneorer by Holi ond Ootes.

As comeros floshed ond students screomed, 1982 Princess Kristie Jones gove the new reign of princess to Tino Johnson. While receiving screoms of joy ond o stonding ovotion, Princess Tino occepted the throne ond promised to represent Morsholl os best I con, especiolly with the help of the student body, ef'?ff -if 'fire if The 1988 court, consisting of Kim Jeli, Debbie Bergeson, Solly Miller, Lorie Bowne, Christine Belnop, ond Tino Johnson, wos see Iected by members of the Rose Festivol Associotion, ond presented to the MHS stu- dent body on April 5. When I wos chosen for the court, I wos reolly excited! excloimed Christine Belnop, My gool hos been to become o court member, ond l'm hoppy to hove the chonce to porticipote in the Rose Festivol os o member. Eoch girl bowed to both sides of the gym ond gove o two minute prepored speech on the theme, A Boclsword Glonce, A Future Dteomf' A new trodition wos storted this yeor by court members, presenting lost yeor's Prin- cess Kristie with o white rose ond o petsonol messoge of thonlss from eoch condidote os they were presented to the student body for the second ossembly. Kristie wos so helpful, we wonted to let her know thot we reolly opprecioted everything she did, commented Lorie Bowne. Princess Tino summed up the experience, This is on unfotgettoble moment! I opprecif ote hoving your support, ond presenting me with this once in o lifetime opportunity thot I will never forget!
