During their large group, English students portrayed parts in Sha.kespeare's Romeo E Juliet. 195966 Cufficueum ycpeores. - - English is one of the required subjects, which is taken all four years of high school. There- are three levels of English which include A, for college bound students who study class- ical novels, poetry in depth and Shakespearean tragedies, B, for students planning to attend vocational schools or go directly into a job: and C, for students who have language difficulties. English is thought to be one of the most im- portant courses taught in high school, because students will always need to refer back to this in later life. Also taken into the English department are important classes like drama and speech, class- es which put on school plays and train debate teams.
