Under the direction of Miss Alexander, Marshall's Thespians presented Rebel Without a Cause . In this play, Nick Accuardi protrays Plato, who is the society outcast. He is a lonely, confused boy who wants to be someone's friend. Dan Caldwell, senior, also played an important role in this play as Iim Stark, and Iunior, Pam Orazio, helped Dan carry through the plot of confused adolescents searching for goals and acceptance. Plato finds true friendship with Iudy and Iim, and reveals it by helping them in their time of danger. ' Throughout the play fighting is prevalent, but in the end happiness prevails. 191 l

Ra mshackle Inn , written by George Batson, was presented in the little theater on April 30, and May l. Directed by drama teacher, Miss Alexander, the play takes place in a New Eng- land setting during the second World war. Four murders occur in the inn, but the real solution to the mystery lies in the cellar. Leading a cast of fifteen, Marc Kinney, senior, portrayed the character of Patton. Cos- tumes forthe production were made by Portland State College students.
