This year's spring assemblies were full of fun and entertainment. The exectuvie cabinet brought Kirby Brumfield from KATU television station, to talk on teenage morals and en- tertain the student body with many humorous situations. The cabinet, with the cooperation of Miss Coffman, also presented Thurlow Spurr and the Spurrlows who sang such songs as Moon River , Hel1o Do11y , O1d Man River , Maria ,l B1ue Ve1vet , Sweet Georgia Brown and I'm In Love . Organized in 1959, the Spurrlows are full-time musicians , sponsored by the Chrysler Motors Corporation. They travel extensively, throughout the U. S. Rose Festival also brought two assemblies to Marshall's gym, as the 1965 Princess was chosen. Speeches were given on Thursday morn- ing and our candidate for the Queen of Rosaria was announced the next morning. Our spring assemblies completed anotherl year of fine presentations to the student body.
