Let's Hear It! . the spring varsity rally led the spirited Mar- shall student body to their first PIL Sportsmanship a- ward. Another first for this years rally was an appear- ance on KATU'S Salute To The Schools . In addition to their duties as cheer leaders at the varsity basketball games, the rally served as good-will ambassadors to other Portland highschools, sponsoring joint dinners and an after-game dessert with the several visiting rallies. Helping to pay for the many Lex expenses the staff has participated in many fund raising projects. Sponsoring the publications dance, A Date With Cupid , serving at a game concession, having sales, and selling ads are ways in which this money was earned. Much credit fora successful book goes to the many area merchants who support the book through their advertising.
