Marshall's 1975 golf team, under the direction of Coach Ed Posey, ended an outstanding year of competition with a fourth place finish in the Regionals at Corpus Christi, and second place in the 31-AAAA championship tournament. Team members Gregg Munn, Richard Volding, Rick Mangum, Robert Fidone, and Terry Powell had the Rams in the District lead but the Lee Vols tied the match and proceeded to win the sudden death playoff for the title. Other outstanding showings included first place in the Hondo Tournamentg first place in the South Texas High School Tournament with Gregg Munn overall medalistg and second at the Brady Invitational, as Rick Mangum captured medalist honors. The Rams also took second place in both the Northeast Tour- nament of Champions and the Junior Golf Association of South Texas Tour- nament.
