The faculty advisors are Mr. Thomas Marx and Miss Elaine Steiger. There are seventy-live members in the group. The services of a number of plebes were auctioned off to the patricians at various sum of money for a period of two weeks. The minimum purchase price was fifteen centsg the maximum went as high at 32.50. All proceeds went to the treasury which will use the money in the future for the yearly Latin banquet. The slaves were first-year Latin students. Many patricians, second and third-year students, ended up with three or four plebes to carry their books and lunches, greet them at their lockers, and help them with their coats, while the plebes uttered those humble words, Sum plebs humilis, QI am a lowly plebe.j . In the future the club plans to have several skits in Latin at their' meetings. Other events will include read- ings of Classical Latin literature, Roman Culture, and other related activities.
