ADMINIS An administrator is ac- knowledged to be a human being fmore or lessj , and yet he is frequently ex- pected to be familiar with every problem of every per- son in his chargeg to listen patiently to everyone's gripes, without gripingg to accept other's mistakes without ever making them himselfg to praise, without hoping to receive praiseg to enforce rules and regula- tions for the good of the many individuals without dictating: and to be reason- able, understanding, fair, and even-tempered at all times without expecting others to conduct them- selves in like manner. The task of an administrator is indeed a difficult one, but it is a noble responsibility. T an FACULTY A teacher is a human questionnaire: Why isn't your home- work done? VVhat are you talking about? Haven't you begun the next assignment yet? Are you chewing gum? Why were you absent yesterday? When are you coming in to make up the test you missed? Who erased the board? Why didn't you come prepared for class? What's your excuse this time? Are you Finally ready to settle down to work? Why don't you ever comb your hair? How do you expect to pass if you don't do the required work? If you didn't under- stand the work, why didn't you ask for help? Why didn't you study for the test? Though plaguing stu- dents with these queries throughout the day, teach- ers atone for their inquisi- tions by asking the one question that justifies all the others they ask: How may I help you?

i ,, c..,,.......,...,.. l l 1 w Art classes have performed many services for the school in providing posters, charts, and decorations for dances and stage productions. Next year, it is planned that they will construct a large wooden mosaic of typical school scenes. It will be hung on the wall near the stairway of door one. Copper enameling tools, kilns, and a potter's wheel are a few of the special pieces of equipment the art de- partment has at its disposal. If enrollment warrants next year there will be jewelry and ceramics classes besides the regular art classes. Art pupils also worked on the sets for the school play and the Musico. They also contributed to the yearbook and made decorations for the school dance.
