In ad- dition to that, the team also participated in the State Baseball Tournament, which was held at the beginning of May. On March 18th, about seventy-five boys went out for the varsity and B baseball teams. After a rugged train- ing program, the teams were-whittled down to the best eighteen boys on the varsity, and twenty-five on the sophomore squad. The coaches of the two teams are Head Coach Mr. Roger Hytinen, varsity, and Assistant Coach Mr. Kurt Rollman, B team. Head Coach Hytinen anticipated a successful season on the strength of a good team last year. He also felt that there was some very fine potential among the juniors and sophomores that composed the varsity. After gaining some experience by means of rugged games, the Eagles should develop into a strong unit. Pitcher Robin Itzkowitz awaits the sign and sizes up the batter. Shortstop Norm Mishelow awaits anything coming his way.

High Hopes Held This year's golf team, coached by David Fraser, should be able to finish in the first division in the City confer- ence. The team will play several matches during the sea- son at a number of local golf courses. Among them are Currie Park, Brown Deer Park, and Greenfield Park. April twenty-third is their first match. Last year the team had an even season and hopes to do as well this year. Four of last year's top boys are re- turning this year. They are Gary Paler, Richard Margolis, john Rahl, and Terry O'Nei1l., The team consists of four varsity players and four on the B team. 180 X
