JUNIOR RED CROSS During the past year Mrs. Margaret Koegel and mem- bers of the junior Red Cross have performed many useful services. At Christmas time they filled stockings with hard candy and cookies which were given to patients of the Milwaukee County Infirmary. Miss Roberta Pippitt's sewing classes made thirty pairs of terrycloth slippers from materials which the junior Red Cross purchased. Baby layettes were made by Miss Waltraut Schaarschmidfs students. Club members gathered pictures for a scrapbook which was sent to a school in western Germany. This book at- tempted to show what high school life is like in America. Seven members of Miss Pippitt's sewing class made terrycloth slippers for the Red Cross which went to the Milwaukee County Infirmary. STAGE CREW Bruce Harrmann, Alan Schumann, William MacPher- son, Richard Gerbitz, Don Thomas, Dennis Behling, Gary Boldt, Michael Lerner Without the vital aid of the stage crew and the stage- craft club, the auditorium programs would be virtually impossible. Under the direction of Mr. Frank Orlando, nine boys carry out all the duties in connection with the auditor- ium programs. They see that all productions run smoothly. During an assembly, each boy is assigned to a particular duty, such as, arranging props, setting up scenery, creating special lighting effects, and pulling the curtain. The stage craft club is in charge of making all scenery and props that will be needed for any production. After long hours of sketching, drawing, and painting, the club members under the direction of Mr. Robert Zacher com- pleted the sets for Marshall's play The Man Who Came To Dinner and for the 1963 Musico, Showtime On Broadway. Students worked before and after school, using small models as guides to the finished products. STAGE CRAFT Top Row: Linda Poethig, Christine Tanel, Sandon Siegel, Vaughn De Vorse, Mike Terry Second Row: Mr. Zacher, Thomas Krause, Carol Dorst, Barbara Morrow, Linda Bestul, Sue Krasno Bottom Row: Dean Graczyk, Barbara McGinness, Karen McCue, Susan Key, Patricia Brede.
