. .f ' . fe 5112- fi New OFFICE STAFF The I.B.M. system means a vast change in office and teacher records. Its main advantages are in the amount of time and work it saves. The complete I.B.M. unit consists of four separate machines. The first, a key punch, punches the characters in each student's program card. Next, the sorter sorts these. Then the 1401 computer records all given informa- tion on tapes and prepares it for the master unit, 7074, in Chicago. These tapes are then put into this machine. Miss Zanoni and Mr. Osterndorf deal with the daily multitude of students who come to the office with as- sorted questions and problems.
