The great variety of teachers and classes was designated to suit the many needs of each individual student. In addition to an Advanced Placement class for those seniors interested in receiving college credit, lVlarshall offered both gifted and remedial classes, giving equal and fair attention to all students, regardless of their academic standing. Though the English Department stressed the fundamentals of modern language, its primary goal this year was to strive towards teaching students to think both creatively and individually. This was accomplished through the composition of poetry, the writing of short stories and plays, and the reading and analyzation of the classics. It is through literature, and through the writings of man, that we can bridge the gap between the centuries, and reach out towards the future . .. 75 ann
