Freshman second Junior Varsity third t was also a different experience for the Junior Varsity Girls Basketball team having to adjust to a new coach. Coach George Ross, who once coached basketball at Jay in 1980, had alot of new ideas and hopes for his team. Although, things didn't turn out as expected, Coach Ross said he enjoyed coaching basket ball agai n, and assisting Coach Floyd on the varsity squad. T team deserved alot ofrcredit as they played some very hard team and play players Girls' and fini the fre Blackbu Junior Goodlett ed their hardest till the last second of the game, he said. Varsity finished with a 12-8 season record. Leadi were Rochelle Whittington, Susan Fletcher, and Debb Freshman Basketball team posted a season record of 7 hed second in district behind Marshall.
