Sayers places tenth hree swimmers, senior Robert Sayers, freshman Eddie Hoff and sophomore Christina Robbins, led the Mustangs by quali- fying for state in the 200 yd. individual medley, the 500 yd. freestyle, 100 yd. backstroke and the 200 yd. freestyle. Expected to qualify for the state meet in Austin, Sayers placed .t placed ten h. i 0 Gther s immers competing in Regionals were Susan Gray in the 200 yd. fr estyle and 100 yd. butterfly, Karen Hoesen in the 100 yd. breasts roke, the 200 yd. medley consisting of Gray, Leslie Han- chey, Hoe n, and Robbins. Also in the 400 yd. freestyle relay was Shanon He d, Hoesen, Cheri Kisbee and Angel Marquise. A We ha e a pretty strong team with strong swimmers, said 'Coach Gle n.Forsyth. I think I had a pretty good year, said I freshman ddie Hoff, but I'm looking forward to next year, tenth with a time of 57:77 in the 100 yd. backstroke. Althoug the Water Polo team's season wasn't as outstanding as Placing in regionals, Hoff qualified in the individual medley with a last year's season, the team ended with awards to some of their time of 1:58:96. In state competition, Hoff placed eighth with outstandin athletes. Winning the Most Valuable Player'1 awards 1:59:10 for his time. He also placed tenth in the 500 yd. freestyle. were Saye s and Robbins. In the Most Improved category, win- Swimming in the 200 yd. freestyle and the 100 yd. backstroke, ners were off and Marquis.
