For third straight year Girls in playoffs or the second consecutive year, the girls varsity volleyball team was a contender in post-season play. The Lady Mustangs took a 16-4 season record and an 8-2 district mark to finish second in district and qualify for the play-offs. Lady Mustangs went into the eason playing tough ball, knowing that their district was the toughest in the city. Every team was out to beat the defending district champs, and the Marshall Rams did just that. lt was a disappointing loss for the Mustangs, after playing good and winning the first game of the match, 15-2. Marshall then came on strong and defeated the Mustangs 15-5, 15-13 to be the only undefeated team in the first round of district. After losing to Marshall, the Lady Mustangs opened the second round determined to win the rests of their games.
