pproximately 2660 students at- tended Jay with 900 freshmen, 618 sophomores, 613 juniors, and 529 seniors. These students were only part of a class such as English or math but by doing their own activities they became an individual. Students could have easily lost themselves and became one of the numbers but once that final bell rang students did one of several things. Some would stay at school for after- noon practices, some would involve themselves in club or class activities, others would go off to work at a part time job while others would go home to relax. Following the tradition of success of former students, present students were acclaimed for their endeavors. Scott Ankrom gained recognition as an All'City running back, Clarissa Davis became one of the top third juniors in the country with volleyball. She was also an All-City Spiker. ln form in th was name Jay also ln munity Se Youth in chez for named K Teachers choir for ' i music Richard Olmo qualified to per- All State Band.
