' 111,65 I LOVING MEMORY Margie Garcia, 1962-85 To her fellow students, faculty, and friends, Margie Garcia was a source of inspira- tion. In spite of her terminal illness, she did not allow herself to succumb to self-pity. Instead, she devoted her entire existence to realizing her educational goals. Her quest for success gave profound meaning to her life, as well as to those she encountered. We are indebted to Margie, for through her memory we will always be reminded that success is attainable, provided we are willing to summon the determination to work hard and perservere. .E-A rfb 'NA AA 1 l I , in On behalf of the entire staff, I extend our congratulations for one of the best Leadership Conferences that John Jay College has ever had. I am pleased with the spirit of cooperation and professional- ism exhibited by the Judicial Board, the Student Council and its committees, and all club representatives. Despite a serious funding error, student leaders were able to resolve the issue when they were back on campus. One of the highlights of the weekend was your active participation in the Ethnic Awareness Workshops. Your thoughts, words, and actions enabled us to address this sensitive issue. Each of you clearly demonstrated leadership capa- bilities during the course of the weekend. Dean Carolyn Tricomi N-'I K 'I 1 my ,.i,. v -if , -..iaQ:?ik7'.1f. fl ref
