PRESIDENTS MESSAGE I wish to add my personal congratulations to each mem- ber of the graduating class of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I am well aware of the long years of sacrifice on the part of students and their families that is required for successful completion of academic work at this college. But every graduate can take satisfaction from the personal development of which the diploma is a symbol and of the contribution to the profes- sionalization of law enforcement which will be a result. I should like, also, to con- gratulate the editors of the Yearbook. It represents an im- portant contribution to the building of a sense of community at this unique college. It is my hope that it will be one means of maintaining each graduate's continued association and identi- fication with the College.
