When Reagan opened in the fall of 1928, there came to the school an organized orchestra from Heights High. Through the years it has been molded by Mr. John Robbins and other fine men like him into an outstanding musical group. The various activities that the orchestra participates in during the course of the year are the May Fete festival, the Honor Society formal initiation, and Mid-term graduation exercises. Various members of the orchestra have received honors outside school activities, such as participating in the All-City Orchestra, All-State and Texas Music Education Association orchestras and many others throughout the city, state, and country. Distributive Education is a Vocational Training Course in Retail, Wholesale and Service Selling. The D.E. student goes to school in the morning and to Work in the afternoon. The student earns credits each semester while taking D.E. The activities of D.E. are: An initiation for new members, dances sponsored by the D.E. clubs of Houston. The club also plans get-togethers through the year. The most important event of the year is the Employer-Employee Banquet.
