This organization works toward better home and family living, provides opportunities to share in solving problems important to home life, and sponsors group projects, local, state, and national in scope. The emblem of the Future Homemakers of America is octag- onal in shape and bears the name of the organization around the symbol, while around the lower side of it is the motto, TO- WARD NEW HORIZONS. In the center there is a house supported by two hands, which is a symbol that the future homes of America are in the hands of its youth. TOWARD NEW HORIZONS, the motto of the Future Homemakers of America, expresses the purposes ot the organ- ization: Learning to live better each day in order to be better tomorrow. Sk fmt

Slide Rule Club The Reagan Slide Rule Club, sponsored by Mrs. Frankie Dunn, was organized to create enthusiasm for using the slide rule, to stimu- late proficient use of it, and to develop ap- preciation of its everyday applications. Members are required to have at least a B average, major in Math, and have at least a classification of high junior.
