Foreword More than just years have passed since we began our life at Reagan. Our school has become part of us-a part that we shall carry with us throughout our lives. All that has happened in serious study as well as in fun and friendship has been in the making of us. Whether our lives will be full and happy in the years to come depends largely on the training and experience we have received here. The old ways of education and student life are gradually changing from reading, 'riting, and lrithmeticv to a broader, more complicated study of the actual problems of everyday life, and today's youth is taught the artistic, the finer things of life, as well as the fundamentals. Through the variety of activities and interests depicted in this yearbook, we, the Pennant Staff, have emphasized how many things have required the attention, thought, and work of the Reaganites on the campus in 1955. Student life on the campus tends to be more interesting and exciting, but there is also life in the classroom g and there will always be as long as there are minds ready to- work. Through a world torn by strife and misunderstanding, the flame of learning burns-a touch to show the way back to civilization. In presenting this printed and graphic record, we have proposed to depict student life at Reagan, informally and vividly, and to recreate for you the days of, fun and preparation which have made these school years happy ones. , W TW ' ...

.ff e MX my-N I 'PPV P---M... Dedication Spirit is something that is invisible, yet invincible. One cannot see it. One cannot put his finger on it. But one can put his heart into it. The school spirit at Reagan High School is evident in the brisk cheering of the crowd at the game. It is evident in the meaningful silence of the pledges at the Honor Society. It is a charter member of all Reagan organiza- tions. It is the calling card of all Reagan activities. It is the very essence of all success stories. The athlete striving for paydirt must have it, the student striving for scholarship must possess it. Because of its indispensability in the making of a good school and be- cause of the high manner in which it has always been demonstrated by Reagan students, we dedicate this, the l955 PENNANT, to the SCHOOL SPIRlT OF REAGAN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. May it continue to flourish inwardly in our souls and outwardly in our actions, and may it always be the heart and soul of John H. Reagan High School.
