TO THE CLASS OF 1940: If you have not already made out a program for your life, do so now, and map it out with a sense of direction, but with no sense of obstacles. , Ninetyffive per cent see the obstacles that have to be overcome in order to reach a coveted goalfand back away. The other five per cent sec the objective- and press forward. Small men painstakingly survey the first obstacle which dwarfs their natures and foreshortens their vision. Great men with a sense of direction have their confidence and determination which trample obstacles underfoot. History records the success of men with objectives and a sense ot direction. Oblivion is the position of small men overwhelmed by obstacles. R. H. WILLIAMS, Principal.
