With this motto as a guide, the Boys' Physical Education Department presents to boys a program of activities designed to promote physical development, improve skills in G var et, of sports and most important, foster a code of conduct and sportsmanship that will be a credit to the student and the school he represents, Believing that to think big is to be big, Mr. Lewis authorized opening a full sports program the first semester Our teams have displayed an eagerness to compete and a drive to win that sees Poly as a growing power in the valley The Department offers the boys a variety of sports to choose from: football, baseball, track, basket- ball cross country tennis swimming and gymnastics. ROW TWO: Ma Lissa Pettyiohn, Mildred Tukks, Leona Coffey, Jayne Renick, Manager, Sienna White, June Winkler. If il' were not for the gardening crew, Poly would appear quite barren. These men are responsible for the trees, lawns, and shrubs, which contribute so much tothe appearance of the school. They landscape, plant new trees and shrubs, and keep our campus looking attractive, , 5 Fulfilling the nutritional needs at Poly, Mrs Renick and the cafeteria staff work to feed both the students and the teachers twice a clay, at nutrition and again at lunch. Not only do they serve hot meals during school hours, but they also cater at all the banquets and dinners Poly gives -vfEY',.7Y. I 'X' N li 5. These are the men and women behind the scenes keeping Poly spic and span. They perform endless duties toward keeping the campus spotless and everything in working order. Arriving before school in the morning and leaving late in the evening, Mr. Crandal and his workers clean the grounds, sweep the rooms, repair equipment, ariid generally keep everything in running condition.
