A fashion show, with Poly girls modeling their own outfits for every occasion, was one activity sponsored by Girls' league. Girls' League was organized in 1915. At the beginning of each semester the Leagues welcome 'ew guys and dolls with a party. Boys' League, which was founded in 1912 by seven boys, had a limited membership at first. But membership became automatic to all boys in 1917. Boys' League sponsors the intramural sports. l!.l!l!!5lll'!L'!'l!m!l!llgg1 :nu--1-gg-. 1 7. All Welcoming the new girls to Poly, a program is put on to develop friendship among all girls by,the Girl's League Cabinet. , i Girls look forward to seeing the latest styles in Fashion Show, one of the events sponsored by the League. May Day, which was first held by the Girl's League in 1916, was an outstanding high light of the summer semester. Every week throughout the school year, a Girl of the Week is chosen for neatness and appropri- ate clothing by the GirI's League Cabinet. The activities of GirI's Week is sponsored by the Girl's League. The Novice Track Meet, along with Boy's Week were the contribu- tions of the Boy's League to school events. iff u,4q ' Whistles galore, boys are never absent on the day when girls have dress up day. Wonder why? These waltzing darlings were the contributions of Miss Henley's dance class to the dreamy May Day Program sponsored by the Girls' League. 23
