Because he wanted his beloved Poly to be a singing school, he donned his famous red vest, and in his iovial way led the songfests. His glad hand can also be a firm hand, this is reflected in the behavior of the student body. Because of the wonderful Poly spirit which he has helped to engender, Poly won the Sportsmanship trophy in both the Northern and Eastern Leagues. MRS. IONA J. LORD Girls' Vice-Principal Mrs. Iona Lord is a royal good sport! Her character- izations in student and faculty productions will be long remembered. One senses her warmth and is attracted by the twinkle in her eye. She excels in organization, and being extremely efficient, helps others to solve their many problems.
