McGinnis became principal, following the retirement of Dr. J. G. Goodsell .... Northern League Sportsmanship Trophy for having won .the cup three out of four years. 'I953-The Board of Education purchased land in San Fernando Valley for the new John H. Francis Polytechnic High School .... Varsity football team defeated L. A. High, 19-13. 1954-Blue prints for the new Polytechnic High School completed .... Construction to begin in September .... Foreign Student Council is repre- sented on A.S.B.O .... Eastern League Track Champions for the past two years. 1955-THIRD MOVE The Polytechnic Faculty and Student Body are being dispersed to other schools .... Mr. Lowell M. McGinnis and several members of the faculty will open the new Reseda High School in San Fernando Valley .... This plant, at Washington and Grand, will be occupied by the L. A.
