McGinnis became principal, following the retirement of Dr. J. G. Goodsell .... Northern League Sportsmanship Trophy for having won .the cup three out of four years. 'I953-The Board of Education purchased land in San Fernando Valley for the new John H. Francis Polytechnic High School .... Varsity football team defeated L. A. High, 19-13. 1954-Blue prints for the new Polytechnic High School completed .... Construction to begin in September .... Foreign Student Council is repre- sented on A.S.B.O .... Eastern League Track Champions for the past two years. 1955-THIRD MOVE The Polytechnic Faculty and Student Body are being dispersed to other schools .... Mr. Lowell M.
