We are dis carding the ways of children and as¬ suming the roles of men and women. Our eyes are set on new horizons and our minds are turned toward new ideas, but as we march on to greater goals, we can never forget the steps we have already taken. Among teachers there are a special few who inspire in students an unusual respect for learning. They express their interest not only in classroom instruction but in friendly guidance in other activities as well. We at John Graham feel that we have found just such a teacher possessing all these qualities. There ' s always time-out for us too. Coach Webb talks to Assistant Coach Tommy Miles, who gave his time willingly and faithfully to his Alma Mater. Without Mr. Webb ' s under¬ standing coaching ability, John Graham could not have upheld its winning tradition. Faced with many handicaps, he guided our Jackets to another fruitful season. ■ ■ The managers are often in the background, but this does not sig¬ nify a lack of importance. During every game and at practice the managers were there. These never- idle boys washed towels, bandaged arms, mended equipment and en¬ couraged the team. TRI-CAPTAINS Athletic ability is not the only quality of a tri-captain. He must also be a friend, a helper, and a leader. The tri-captain must set an ex¬ ample for the other members of the team. These three boys have done this by never giving up, even when the team was behind. They have led us on to victory many times.
