For twelve long years we ' ve worked and played, And, thus we got our start. Our parents and teachers to us have meant More than our thanks can express, And for their never ending services We owe our every success. And to this dear old school of ours And the carefree days spent here, Our thoughts will turn in the coming years, And many will shed a tear. These are but a few who along the way Have given a helping hand To make possible for each of us The opportunities that education commands. Graduation, to some, is a time for tears And others think it ' s fun, But it really is a time to think For life has just begun ! The road of life is far from easy. It ' s discouraging, weary, and long But life to others will be more cheerful If we travel with a smile and a song. So strive and seek to do your best In all the trials and strife And you ' ll be rewarded when you reach That Land of Perfect Life! Annie Lou James.
