eorge and Joyce Dunn at Christmas time. It would seem that there are at least three or four George Dunns occupying our campus all day. There isn ' t a spot on campus that you might not find him at any given moment. Roof is leaking, teachers doors won 7 lock, gym needs setting up. materials need to be delivered: two rings of the hell and George is on his way. His little electric cart must have over 100.000 miles on it. The nice part about it is he does it all with a smile. George was born on April 6. 1948 at 9:20 pm. at Parkview Hospital in Los Angeles. He was raised, however, in the Norwalk and La Mirada area and is a graduate of the class of 1966 from La Mirada High. After high school. George attended Cerritos College for a brief time until he joined the Navy in 1967. He served aboard the USS Nereus. a submarine tender, from 1967-1969. He was discharged from the navy on January 10. 1973. George has been with the Norwalk La Mirada Unified school district for 1 1 years now. having started out at Neff High School. He was transferred to Glenn in 1981 when Neff was closed. George and Joyce Dunn have been married since March 13, 1976, and his family includes his father who lives in Kingman, Arizona and three brothers. Frank lives in Colorado, another brother. Art, lives in Santa Fe Springs, and Richard lives in Tustin. George is the youngest son. When George finally breaks away from school, his hobbies include cartoon drawing and reading books on Colt guns and rifles. One of his main loves in life is his dogs. Brandy, Tanya, and Silver. The kind of service and excellence that our head of plant gives John Glenn faculty, students, and administration made him a logical choice for this year ' s dedication. We, the 1984-85 Patr iot Staff hereby dedicate this book to you, George Dunn. ieorge and his beloved friends. 1 % P Jm . S .
