They are active members in other activities and are hard-working students in their classes. The most popular activity of CSF is the Quiz Bowl. First de- veloped by Mr. Stan Malek in the first year of Glenn High, it has grown from a school program to a regional affair. Last year Glenn faced other schools in the district and fared pretty well. With the entrance of 32 schools of the region, the Quiz Bowl offers tougher and keener competition this year. Mr. Malek has received the full assistance of Mr. Irving Marks, Mr. Irving Marks Mr. A1 Monroe who has worked hard to give the Quiz Bowl a stronger backing. They are working with the new CSF advisors, Miss June Nelson and Mr. A1 Monroe. 23 1gOO 2F - 2:9'0200 ca Commander MAJ. In December, they attend- ed a Teenage Symposium at the Orthopedic Hospital. For the March of Dimes they have had many fund raising projects. In February, the March of Dimes Drive was started with an assembly. John Schulte ta future doctori opened the program and introduced guest speaker Lan Evans. We also saw a film put out by the March of Dimes and we were lucky to have with us the poster child for this year, three year old Tina Tidwell. Our goal this year was a minimum of $500. They accomplished this with donut sales, a car wash, and real keen competition among the classes. They also visited the Lutheran Home in Norwalk at Christmas time where they sang carols and Visited with the ladies. Their club advisors are Mrs. Strimple, Mrs. Gossman and Mrs. Stenfort. The Eagles, moving from single A league and a second place plus a CIF berth last year to triple AAA competition and a third place this year. This feat may not sound like much of an accomplishment, but the league competition was very close, Glenn having a 4-2-1 league record and a 5-3-1 overall. We extend our congratulations to the players and to the fine coaching staff.
