Each high school may nominate one student tor each torty students in each graduating class, elected jointly by taculty and Senior A Class. To quality the candidates must be in the top 207, ot their class scholastically. Final selections are based, not on popularity, but on charcgcter, leadership ability, high. scholastic achieve- ments, and demonstration of service in school and community. Atter selection, Ephebians, in keeping with the tradition ot this high position, attend at least three tunctions as part ot their initiation which is always held on the first Sunday after graduation. The Ephebians ot Winter 1964 from Fremont, with lite membership, are: Veronica Meigs, Sharon Miller, Marilyn Roberts, and Brenda Simpson.
