If this year is to be a progress year, one The vast majority of us are successful or fairly so. The two chief things that work against success in high school are failure to meet little obligations, tardiness being the greatest fault, and failure to have a definite well organized study period each evening. Be on time, organize your work, get into some branch of athletics or other student activities, have a hobby, and happiness and success will be yours, rf...-,Z Each of us has different talents and abilities. However, to each of us is given the opportunity and ability to serve society in some way. Any act of service is an achievement which prepares the way for greater service and greater achievement. Each one is responsible for all the good within his power. WLM7 C37 '-.PF 1 FX . -Xian? x -w QWQQ4 ,. mg :Rx U J .x .iq kv jg . .Q W 1 - J7z,. Two of the contests were the hardest fought tilts seen this season. Fremont won two out of three games by defeating Franklin 20-I9 in a close battle, losing to Beverly Hills 20-l6, and winning over Narbonne 39-l8. Much credit can be given to Willis Ayers, the hard-fighting captain, for the great showing they made. The seniors received a tremendous ovation when they left the Narbonne game, the last of high school competition for them. TENNIS Predicted to place no better than fourth, the tennis team, under the eyes of Coach Spears, went on to win a close second place.
