Q , 4 ' 144 I Q 1' Nl I-7 ., eff ' - '-- P155 I 5' ESQLWLTZ N bf 's A he Mighty Rocket Band has once again lived up to its reputationfas a winning teamrand brought home numerous awards received in various performances. In September, the band dis- played it spirit and showmanship by performing for enthusiastic fans at football games.sDuring this season they competed against other schools in the lA division Drums Along the Me-g dine field show and took first place. The fall season saw the band performing at the Mijito Con- cert , a special event honoring the parents of members. During the festive holiday season of Christmas,,the group again per- formed, and presentation of band jackets to seniorslwas the highlight of the evening. The new yearn introduced the band to another area of ,competi- tion, the Alamo Tournament of Bands. This time the group came away with a second place in the masters class. A In April they participated in the Reyslieo Parade, the Band Festival. The Battle of Flowers Parade, and the Flambeau Night Parade. There were many sore feet, numb limps, and tired bo- dies but the spiritewas tremen- dous. T The Spring Concert brought as A finale to the band's major activi- ties for the year. At this time, the new drum major and officers for the following year were an- nounced, But special ,tribute should be given to the band di- rector, Mr. Badracki and Drum Major Albert Salinas, and -Assis- tant Drum Major Michelle Mason.
