Bust 'Em Up Our team showed con- stant improvement through- out the season. lt was a young team led by a trio of sophomores, Kristl Honda. Michelle Hesse, and Lori Muramoto. We also had a strong junior, Kelli Jones, and a senior, Gwen McClain. We played an exciting brand of aggressive, tough basketball which helped us to finish in 3rd place with a chance to continue in the play-offs. Our best played game was a 55 to 34 defeat of Johnson. Our most excit- ing games were two two point victories over our rival Burbank. Keep an eye on us, for l984-85 promises to bring a much improved team with four of five starters return- ing with a definite shot at the play-offs. J.V. Busts Big 228 J.V. Women's Basketball It was an honor to work with these ladies. Still feeling they could have gone unbeaten is my only regret. Our defense was un- matched and our guard play was second to none. We just were not blessed with precision shooters. Also, almost every player was out sometime during the season due to either a sickness or an injury. Losing four All-Stars to the Varsity, we were a rebuilding team. These young ladies proved themselves by working hard and playing well. The team was led by returning soph- omore, Noel Moore with 226 points and 2I3 rebounds. Our quarterback was Julie Honda with II8 points. The whole gang deserves recogni- tion. We are grateful to their parents and our supporters. At IO-4 in the Metro and I6-5 for the season, we are pleased. l love them dearly. Thanks, Coach Jim Arnold Row I1 Jolie Yamada, Julie Honda, Sue Yee, Michelle lwamiya, Kim Ohara. Row ll.
