The Elections Committee this year was led by Gwen McClain the first semester and by Dee Dee Waters the second semester. The Committee's responsibility is to make sure that all of the student body and class elections are run fairly. The members open and close the polls, count the ballots, and enforce the rules. Their main responsibilities are keeping the trash cans freshly painted, posting interesting information on the campus bulletin board, and sending get well cards to students unable to attend school due to an illness. Throughout the year these cheer- leaders, A.V. staff, and spirited students promoted cougar involvement by organ- izing rallies, spirit marches, and half-time shows. This enthusiastic group rose to its height in Kennedy's first Winter Festival. By performing a satire presentation of the l984 Summer Olympics along with other routines throughout the course of the year, success was achieved.
