I really liked the ice sculpture — a Jot of people went right to the food; and it was there and it looked good. — Christina Hinojos 12th Grade This year every- body stayed and it was a Jot of fun because everybody was danc- ing. Going stag I feel is more fun because you don ' t have to stay with the one person. You can dance with any- one you want. — Nicole Del Rosario 11th Grade ne Moment in Time $250!! That ' s right — it cost approximately $250, on the average, for one person — that ' s one person — to attend the 1988-89 winter for- mal. To most students who attended, the ex- pense was well worth it, however. Tickets were sold for $50 with an A.S.B. card, and $57 without one. The extra expenses, though, quickly added up: cor- sage, dinner, for some even a limousine. Limos drew up at the entrance to the Westin South Coast Plaza on January 21, and for one night, each girl there had a chance to live through a Cinderella night. Hours of shop- ping and downright re- search for the perfect dress filled the weeks before the dance. Rachelle Polston learned from previous formals — she decided to beat the exaspera- tion and had her dress custom made. Brian Callaway didn ' t want to blend in with all the other guys in their ge- neric tuxes, so he spent a little effort and found something unique — a one-of-a-kind paisley bowtie and cummer- bund. The Silver Anniver- sary winter formal was sponsored by A.S.B. Lori O ' Keefe was in charge of all arrange- ments. The sapphire- blue, black, and silver motif served as a per- fect accent to the theme, One Moment in Time. The gala event definitely added another festive occa- sion to our 25th year celebration. ► Dancing closely. Todd Grossman holds April Vin- cent tight. It was a great end- ing to an equally exciting day. ▲ Jennifer Dark and Shan- non Noble have a great time dancing to the beat of Tone Loc ' s Wild Thing. 1 Winter Formal

It was re- ally romantic, too. — Wyndie Mohn 12th Grade 11 This Time A Lifetime of Memories Complete with ele- gant dining, limou- sines and formal attire, the Junior-Senior Prom allowed students to get away and live a night of luxury. The prom, presented by the junior class, was planned months in advance. Tickets cost $55 with an ASB card and $59 without one. Upon arriving at the plush Newport Shera- ton on Saturday, April 15, couples danced to the music of Mixed Im- ages, stood in the long lines for pictures, and sampled the delicious hors doeuvres. Later in the night the Prom King and Queen were crowned. Time takes things, gives things, and creates memories for lifetimes. If time is what we make it, then the most special times are those which we cherish forever. The Junior-Senior Prom was one unforgettable moment which would last forever — it was one time which would last All This Time. A Unique dresses and sequins were the in look this year. Dancing the night away are Phil Thurman, Wyndie Mohn, Rick Wood- ward, and Kim Smis- sen. ▲ ▲ Wearing the Prorr King crown, Phi ' Thurman reigned pvei the dance.
