77 the om' to Success uccessfulu is a good word to describe the Student Council. While most of us started school in Sep- tember, this busy bunch was planning up coming events. These had to be fit into their busy summer schedules. With A.S.B. President Mike Bang, leading the way with the rest of the Student Council right behind him, they encouraged the Student Body to get involved. Activities like the back-to-school dance, with a first ever DJ., pep assemblies, Spirit week, and homecoming were all memorable and special to everyone. The Winter Formal held at the Balboa Pavillion, Irish Week, and The Prom, in which we were the first school to hold one at the Emerald Hotel, were lasting impressions, one could not forget. When it was all over, the hard work was definitely a successful projection of pride and Spirit! l. -Iawanni Cousett, Kris Gibson, Cindy Hansell, Danny Nichols, and Alane Azevedo all agree, We are just one big happy family? 2. The band was al- ways there to help lead the cheering at assemblies and football games, and they were always seen at local parades through- out Orange County where they won many awards for their outstanding perform- ances. Led by band director Zig Kanstul and marching instructor and major Richard Dekany, the Shamrock Regiment spent many mornings, and they spent countless hours selling items for fundrais- ers. All of this helped to make this a very successful year for the band and helped to keep the strutting with spirit. Y 7 dient to Kennedy's l.
