English Under the direction of Miss Suzanne Hartke, the new department chairwoman, the lan- guage arts department is revising its present curriculum to give greater opportunity for indi- vidualization. The teachers in this department recognize that individuality, creativity, and imagination play a great part in each student's command of language arts skills. They use the study of literature to expand the horizons of the students. A new course, Drama, has been added to the language arts curriculum this year. This course is designed to enable students to better understand the various aspects of the drama and to be able to express themselves. Lawrence Schull 1 5 2 it .
