28 Business Business is concerned with labor and profession. This past year has seen our Business Department prosper with excite- ment. For the first time, the young ladies in secretarial practice have become office aides thereby helping the secretaries in the main office. The DECA Club. primar- ily a club for those enrolled in Business courses, has ventured into a fund drive. The Business Department has seen the return of Notehand, a course designed for College Entrance students. This course teaches the student how to pick out 53 important facts and how to write them quickly. This mound of activity is charac- teristic of the Business Department. Language The Language Department has flour- ished with activities over the year. A French Breakfast, a trip to Montreal, and field trips to movies and plays sponsored by the French, Spanish, and Latin classes are a few activities of the language depart- ment. The students are given a chance to broaden their outlook on life through the panorama of a foreign country. Not only is a language discovered but also the background of its history and culture is revealed. Richard Meloon l . I ' J. V, I h 1 55 'ff 'Q f V it 'tt. ' 2 1 1 ' ,, ---....,.,, A 1. Our Music Department does all this and more. Music is not a subject that can be memorized but one that must be felt. It can flow through the veins of every music student. In the Kennedy Music Department the students not only study music, notes, and songs but also music theory. At the end of this course every student has more insight into the music field. 30 'K Y Anthony Valentine Department Head ir 'I ,, , ag 5-.3-. '4. J' , J Susan Bliss
