He made two deployments to lhC,MCdl1ClTH11C311 Sea onboard USS N1M1TZ QCVN esp with Cvw-3, and was awarded the Commander Robert Farris Junior Officer Leadership Award and 26 ext,Captain Green reported to Deputy CNO tAir Warfare1!OP-05 as AidefAdministra- tive Assistant and served until 1985. He then reported to the Gladiators of VFA-106 at NAS Cecil Field, Florida as one oftheinitial ln- structor Pilots stand- ing up the new Fleet Replacement Squad- ron f'or the FIA-18 Hornet, where, in 1987, he was awarded the Roman One Award for Lead- ership. He later re- ported to USS JOHN F. KEN- NEDY QCV 671 in Norfolk, Virginia, as Assistantblavi gator. n 1990, he i'eported,to1ithe Kestrels of' VFA-137 where he served as the Ad- ministrative, Operations and Maintenance Officer. With CVW-6 he deployed onboard USS FORR- ESTAL KCV 591 to the Mediterranean Sea in sup- port of' Operation PRO- T awarded the Mike Award for Leadership Commander. Assuming VFA-192 in 1994, he made numerous de- ployments aboard USS INDEPEN- DENCE QCV 621 with CVW-5 in support of Operation SOUTGHERN WATCH. C rn 1999, Green reported as Headnwation Junior Officer Branch QPERS-21321. Selected as CVN xo. he reported to Nuclear Power School and completed the nuclear power training pipeline in 1998. Captain Green, reported to USS HARRY QCVN 751 as Executive Officer, served until May 2000.
