During 1999, more at- sea periods pre- pared KENNEDY for its 16th deploy- ment to the Mediterranean! Arabian Gulf. KENNEDY became the first ear- rier to combine both COMPTUEX and JTFEX during a six-week at-sea pe- riod. During this time, the ship also made a six-day port visit to St. Marteen. KENNEDY will make its l6th deploy- ment to the Mediterranean in mid-Sep- tember, once again carrying the banner of freedom to our friends and allies overseas. tAbove Top Lettl Vice President Bush and his wife are greeted by Captain Gary G.
