During 1999, more at- sea periods pre- pared KENNEDY for its 16th deploy- ment to the Mediterranean! Arabian Gulf. KENNEDY became the first ear- rier to combine both COMPTUEX and JTFEX during a six-week at-sea pe- riod. During this time, the ship also made a six-day port visit to St. Marteen.
