Wyatt, a native ol Knoxville, Tennessee, graduated with honors from the University oi Tennessee in June 1974 with a Rachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering. llc was commissioned an Ensign in 0ctober 1974 lollowing completion ol Aviation Dllicer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida. Captain Wyatt was designated a Naval Aviator in December, 1975 at Naval Air Station Meridian, Mississippi. 9 He reported lor instructor duty at VT-19, NAS Meridian in January 1976. ln April 1978 he reported to VF-101 lor F-14A Tomcat replacement training at NAS 0ceana, Virginia. Following Tomcat training, he reported to VF-143 in April 1979 and completed three deployments aboard USS DWIGHT D. EISENHDWER tCVN 691: one to the Indian 0cean and two to the Mediterranean Sea. ln May 1985, he joined VF-74 completing two deployments aboard the USS SARATDGA tCV 601. During this tour, Captain Wyatt was selected as Fighter Wing 0NE Fighter Pilot ol the Year and Grumman Topcat ol the Year lor 1987. ln May 1988, he reported to the Naval Military Personnel Command, Washington, D.C. lor duty as Air Combat Units Placement 0ificer lor the F-14 community and West Coast Carrier Airwing Stalls. Following F-14D transition training in VF-101, Captain Wyatt reported to VF-74 as Executive Diiicer in July 1990 and deployed aboard USS SARATDGA from August 1990 to March 1991 lor 0perations DESERT SHIELD and DESERT STORM. He took command oi VF-74 in 0ctober 1991 and deployed to the Mediterranean Sea from May to November 1992. ln February 1993, Captain Wyatt reported to the Bureau oi Naval Personnel in Washington, D.C. where he served as the head Aviation Junior Dliicer Detailer. Captain Wyatt commanded VF-101, the F-14 Fleet Replacement Squadron from February 1994 until September 1995. He reported as Deputy Commander, Carrier Air Wing EIGHT in January 1996. Captain Wyatt has accumulated over 5,000 mishap-iree flight hours and over 1,200 career carrier arrested landings. His decorations include two Meritorious Service Medals, lour Air Medals with Combat Distinguishing Device, three Navy Commendation Medals with Combat Distinguishing Device, and various service and campaign awards. He is married to the lormer Susan Kathleen Williams oi Virginia Reach, Virginia. They reside with their daughters Skylar and Morgan in Virginia Reach, Virginia. 30 COC 19' I'

Upon completion ol A-7E initial training, he joined Attack Squadron 66 aboard the newly commissioned USS DWIGHT D. ElSENll0WER tCVN 691 and completed lkes iirst deployment to the Med in July 1979. Ile completed subsequent deployntents to the Indian 0cean and tlte Nort.h Atlantic belore reporting to Attack Squadron 174 as a ERS instructor. In 1984, Captain Lyle returned to sea duty as Strike 0perations Dlliccr lor Commander, Cruiser-Destroyer Group THREE in San Diego, Calilornia. While assigned to CCDG-9, he completed deployments to North Pacilie aboard the USS TEXAS tCGN 391 working lor the Rattle Ioree Air Warlare Comntandcr and the Indian 0cean!Mediterranean Sea aboard the USS ENTERPRISE ICVN 651. Following transition training in the EA-18 aircralt in 1987, Captain Lyle was assigned to Strike-Eighter Squadron 82 aboard USS AMERICA ICV 661. While with the Marauders, he served as Dperations and Maintenance Diiicer, completing deployntents to the Med, Indian 0cean and North Atlantic. During his tour, his squadron won the 1989 CGMNAVAIRLANT Rattle Eiliciency Award. In January 1990, Captain Lyle reported to SIIAPE, Belgium, lor joint duty in support oi military operations within the North Atlantic Treaty Urganization. Ile served as a planner within the Nuclear Dperations and Plans Division. Eront 1992 to 1995, Captain Lyle served as Executive Dlticer and Commanding Dliicer oi Strike-Eighter Squadron 83 aboard the USS SARATDGA tCV 601. Ile completed two deployments to the Mediterranean, including Sarah final deployment in 1994. Prior to assunting duties as Deputy Commander, Carrier Air Wing EIGHT, Captain Lyle served as Air Dperations 0iiieer lor Commander, Carrier Group SIX aboard USS AMERICA tCV 661 deployed to the Mediterraneanflndian Dcean. Captain Lyle has accumulated more than 3,500 flight hours and 860 carrier arrested landings.
