V 3IVl NIMIJ l CDR Stephen G. Krawczyk 3M 0fflcer The 3-lll Department oversees the Preventive lllaintenance Program lPlllSl for the USS J0llN F. KENNEDY, exchuling aircraft. lt is also responsible for managing the Current Ships Maintenance Project tCShlPf. This is a data base for all material discrepancies onboard. The 3-bl Department works closely with lllaintenance lllaterial Department tlllllllif to facilitate the quick repair of any degraded equipment. The long-term goal for 3-lll is to supervise a maintenance program on the JFK where properly trained and qualified personnel maintain the ships equipment at 100 percent readiness, allowing accomplishment of all mis- sions. The department conducts weekly inspections of all ship spaces to eniorce this program. The 3lll Department inclrrdes the lllaintenanee Support Center tlllSCl. MSC provides technical and logistic support for the equipment on the ship. Maintenance lllaterial llepartment tlllllllil is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair on the ship. 'The department includes of Quality Assur- ance ttllll. 0A ensures that maintenance and repair jobs follow current proce- dures and directives.
