Commander, Carrier Group TWO Rear Admiral Riley D. Mixson is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He received his commission in February, l959, after attending Air Officer Candidate School in Pensacola. Florida. and eamed his Naval Aviator designation in June I960. Admiral Mixson reported as Commander, Carrier Group Two. in December I989. Previous sea duty assignments include Commanding Officer, USS Midway fCV 4l 3: Chief of Staff of Commander, Cmiser Destroyer Gmup Three and Battle Gmup Bravo: Commanding Officer, USS Roanoke fAOR 73: Commanding Officer, Carrier Air Wing Reserve Thirty KCVWR 303: Commanding Officer.
