Like, yet unlike, other universities, John Carroll has an atmosphere distinctively its own. In this the XVII volume of the Carillon we present some highlights of the year's passing. . . . . Administration and Faculty represent the guideposts of our journey along the aca- demic avenues: they introduce the chronicle. Each season of the year features an indi- vidual undergraduate class . . . . . . . September and Autumn, the time of orientation and adjustment characteristic of the Freshmen. Winter and Spring are the heralds of Sophomores and Juniors. Then, June! and poised at the threshold of Summer and Commencement, the Seniors, products of four years' nurturing for the service of God, Country, and Carroll. . . . .
