IN DEDICATION Art Rainwater Four years ago Art Rainwater joined John Carroll. The student body opened its arms and gave a warm welcome to the Class of 1981 as well as a new principal. The students and Mr. Rainwater have grown hand in hand over the past four years. The hard work, dedication, and determination of Mr. Rainwater is evident in the everyday activities of John Carroll. This school is a better place with a cleaner cafeteria, better discipline, and higher enrollment thanks to the hard work of Mr. Rainwater. He is more than a principal, he is a true example of leadership. He never seems too tired of listening to and working with the students. Art Rainwater, our mentor, has earned support and respect.

IN MEMORIAM John Ames It Seems Like Yesterday It seems like only yesterday we were starting out. In a world so exciting and new. Roaming the halls where we would laugh and shout. It seems like yesterday. We will always remember little things. His laugh and the love he had for all of us. He will always be a part of us. His memory won't die. We will treasure all our memories. Enough to last forever. Remember how we laughed. It seems like yesterday. — Jenine Poole Margaret Shaia Fly Free Fly free like a bird my friend. Soar easily through the cold brisk wind. Let not a thing take you down. Keep on flying toward the happiness Cod found. Never let your head fall, just keep holding it up high, Take a deep breath and fly bird, fly. Live all your dreams while you have the chance. Oh, proud bird you're free at last. Never look down to the earth, for you'll see the hell you once knew, And the dark gray clouds will cover the sky that was once clear and blue. And your tears will fall like the pouring rain. And you'll relive that endless moment of pain. Never hang your head low, but show all of your pride. Let the people know you have lived, not died. Fly on through the present, future and past. Fly on free bird, you've made it at last! — Kellie Wehby 19
